Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls

Tyler Perry is truly a genius. He captures all the issues in the black community and turns a brighter light towards them. All of his movies are inspiring as well as very humorous! 

"For Colored Girls" is a film based on the play "For Colored Girls Who Have Suicide When the Rainbow is Enough." The cast is constructed by famous strong black women who have served as role models in the entertainment industry. From films, TV shows, plays, music artists etc, these women were the right pick! The cast is made up of Janet Jackson,  Phylicia Rashad, Whoopi Goldberg, Thandie Newton, Loretta Devine, Anika Nani Rose, Kimberly Elise, and Kerry Washington.

Tyler Perry Uses a combination of poems to tell the heartbreaking stories of 8 woman and how theie unity helps one another get through their problems. It is really a heart breaking movie however, it is really inspiring as well. Even though most of the movie is bad news, it proves that  you can get through the bad things in life with God on your side. Sometimes the bad things lead to the Good things and you cant get there alone.  For Colored Girls is now available on DVD so there is no excuse not to see it !

An 11 year old has reported to be gang raped by at least 18 men in Cleavland Texas. The men have been suspected after a middle school classmate reported receiving a mobile video of the alleged rape on her phone. Although it is unclear the absolute details of how the rape came to be, this young girl had to physically stand 18 men! This is ridiculous. Stories have said that the age range of the men are from 14 to 25 years old! Shame on them. An 11 year old tho? Ladies be careful with the men you trust. Rape suspects are often declared to be those you are well familiar with. You have a better chance in being raped by someone who knows you than a complete stranger. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.

Underground Abortion Pill?

There is a new discovery alternative to surgical abortion in the Latin Society. In Latin America Cytotec, or the abortion pill, is an inexpensive underground abortion alternative available for women in Latin America. It does not consist of any needles, however there are serious side effects that often hospitalize many women. The pill is as low as $2 per pill and it has been smuggled into the United States for years to help Latin American immigrants who cannot afford abortion expenses in the US. The American medical system provides a similar pill called “mifepristone” that ranges from $400-$700 dollars in cost. This pill can only be use during the first 9 weeks of pregnancy. The pill blocks the hormone progesterone. If the uterus lacks progesterone, the possibility of a pregnancy continuing is rare. A second pill is then taken to empty the uterus. This causes cramps, fever, blood clots, and bleeding. Woman who take these pills result with the following side effects: bad cramps, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and chills. In the Latin America there is often a follow up process. The clinics that issue the pill will call and check up on patients to make sure the abortion is complete. Many women end up in the hospital after the final process of the abortion. This medication is validated as safe in the Us. I’m neutral when it comes to abortions. I am neither for nor against it. I just think this is much safer for those who are considering tragic options for terminating pregnancy. Okay so it’s common for all celebs to go through the famous “before and after” phase of how they look with and without makeup. Most of them nearly fail. However, Kim Kardashian has made the biggest transformation that I’ve seen in a while. Yes she is gorgeous, but when that make up comes off?…PAUSE. The young celebrity has admitted to being treated to Botox.  Love you Kim, but it’s your booty,..not your (natural) beauty.

This surgery was developed in Panama (not Florida) to help the Indians who suffered from albinism. (Albino) Also, those who have damage to the iris are highly recommended to get this surgery. An intraocular implant is inserted through a small hole, to cover the eye to change the color of the iris. This surgery was performed in Los Angeles until it was banned by the FDA. It is now only performed in Panama. There is a high risk of getting glaucoma, cataracts and other serious damages to the eye such as blindness. The cost of this surgery is 7,500 plus the travel expenses for going to Panama being that this surgery is banned in the US. I mean hey, it’s your eyes. This surgery sounds pretty cool. I never knew that this existed & I think its dope that you can alter the color of your eyes. However, I do recommended using alternatives such as contacts instead of the surgery. Being blind is not that great.  

Where did cartoons go WRONG?

From laughing around with Johnny Bravo to sitting in silence watching Mighty B? Seriously. The general collection of cartoons available in this generation has NOTHING on the ones that existed back in the 90's. Whoever Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network fired needs to come back. TSK. TSK. TSK.
